​MORRISVILLE – A lane along a section of Interstate 40 in Wake County is closed today while crews conduct repair work.
The outside lane of I-40 East will be closed near Crabtree Creek (Mile Marker 286) until 3 p.m. Thursday, weather permitting. The closure will enable crews to safely work on stabilizing the bank just east of the bridge over the creek.
Three lanes of the interstate will remain open during the work, but drivers should anticipate the lane reduction and be mindful of crews that will be working close to the travel lanes.
