WINSTON-SALEM – An N.C. Department of Transportation contractor is planning several closures tonight along Interstate 40 in Forsyth County for an ongoing rehabilitation and bridge preservation project.
The following nightly closures are scheduled from 8 p.m. tonight to 5 a.m. Tuesday morning, weather permitting:
- Two of three lanes are scheduled to be closed on I-40 West from U.S. 52 to west of Peters Creek Parkway.
- Two of three lanes are scheduled to be closed on I-40 East from west of Peters Creek Parkway to east of Peters Creek Parkway.
- One of two lanes is scheduled to be closed on I-40 East from Union Cross Road to the Guilford County Line.
The following nightly closures are scheduled from 9 p.m. tonight to 6 a.m. Tuesday morning:
- The ramp from Peters Creek Parkway to I-40 West is scheduled to be closed with a signed detour.
- The ramp from I-40 West to Peters Creek Parkway is scheduled to be closed with a signed detour.
- The ramp from Peters Creek Parkway to I-40 East is scheduled to be closed with a signed detour.
Motorists should remain alert in the work zones and allow extra time for the detours.
