RALEIGH – Some of the state's top heavy equipment operators are headed to Baton Rouge this fall to join 11 partner states for the Southeast Regional Equipment Operators Safety Training Conference.
Nearly a hundred N.C. Department of Transportation equipment operators from the 14 Highway Divisions across the state gathered in Raleigh this week to take part in the state “Roadeo." The event gives NCDOT employees the opportunity to showcase their skills in a friendly competition, operating heavy equipment in seven categories. It promotes work zone safety, employee morale and teamwork.
The 14 employees who advance to the regional event, set for Sept. 27-29, are as follows:
Single Axle
