Overnight Paving Beginning in Brunswick County

SUPPLY – A section of N.C. 211 in Brunswick County will be repaved this summer, giving drivers a smoother ride.

The nearly 3-mile section is between U.S. 17 (Ocean Highway) and Zion Hill Road.

The N.C. Department of Transportation contractor will work Sunday through Thursday beginning at 8 p.m. and finishing the following morning at 6 a.m. The contractor is scheduled to start paving on July 17, and it will take about six weeks to complete.

Drivers can expect a lane of the highway to be closed during those days and times. While traffic will still be able to utilize N.C. 211, NCDOT encourages drivers to slow down and avoid the area when possible.
