KERNERSVILLE – An N.C. Department of Transportation contractor will be closing part of Interstate 40 tonight to continue widening operations for the Winston-Salem Northern Beltway project, weather permitting.
Starting at 9 p.m., the left lane of I-40 East will be closed from west of High Point Road to Union Cross Road. Work is expected to be complete by 5 a.m. tomorrow morning.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and use extra caution when approaching the work zone.
