Three Nights of Closures Scheduled on I-40 in Forsyth County

WINSTON-SALEM – An N.C. Department of Transportation contractor will implement ramp and lane closures on Interstate 40 for construction and ongoing maintenance projects, weather permitting.

The following closures are scheduled to take place from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning:

  • From tonight to July 29, two of three lanes are scheduled to be closed on I-40 West from west of U.S. 52 to east of Hanes Mall Boulevard.
  • From tonight to July 28, two of three lanes are scheduled to be closed on I-40 East from west of Hanes Mall Boulevard to east of Peters Creek Parkway.
  • From tonight to July 28, two of three lanes are scheduled to be closed on I-40 East from Clemmonsville Road to Willard Road.
  • From tonight to July 28, the ramp from Clemmonsville Road to I-40 East is scheduled to be closed with a signed detour.

The following closures are scheduled to take place between 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning:

  • On July 29, the Exit 192 ramp from I-40 West to Peters Creek Parkway is scheduled to be closed with a signed detour.

Motorists should use caution while traveling through the work zone and plan accordingly for delays.
