OAK RIDGE – Next week, N.C. Department of Transportation contractors will close a portion of a road in Guilford County for about four months to replace an aging bridge.
Starting Aug. 8, the Beeson Road bridge over Reedy Fork Creek will be closed for the construction of a new bridge. The new bridge is expected to be complete in early December, weather permitting.
During construction,
a detour will be in place that will direct traffic to County Line Road, Crosscreek Road, West Market Street and North Bunker Hill Road.
Motorists should slow down, drive cautiously and pay attention traveling near the work zone.
