WINSTON-SALEM – Beginning tonight, contract crews will have nightly closures for the ongoing improvement project along Interstate 40 in Forsyth County.
Weather permitting, the following nightly lane closures are scheduled from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. to allow crews to perform pavement rehabilitation:
- On Aug. 9, two of three lanes are scheduled to be closed on I-40 West from Willard Road to Clemmonsville Road.
- On Aug. 9-11, two of three lanes are scheduled to be closed on I-40 West from east of Hanes Mall Boulevard to west of Stratford Road.
- On Aug. 9-11, two of three lanes are scheduled to be closed on I-40 East from west of Peters Creek Parkway to east of Peters Creek Parkway.
- On Aug. 9-11, the exit ramp from I-40 West to Hanes Mall Boulevard is scheduled to be closed with a signed detour.
On Aug. 9-11, the exit ramp from I-40 West to Stratford Road is tentatively scheduled to be closed beginning at midnight to 5 a.m. with a signed detour.
On Aug. 9-11, the ramp from Stratford Road to I-40 West is scheduled to be closed beginning from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning with a signed detour.
Motorists should plan accordingly for delays and use caution while traveling through the work zones.
