WINSTON-SALEM – N.C. Department of Transportation contractors will be implementing overnight lane closures along Interstate 40 for ongoing construction and maintenance projects starting Sunday night.
Weather permitting, the following closure is scheduled to take place from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning:
- On Sept. 18, two of three lanes will be closed on I-40 East from the bridge over Salem Creek to the South Main Street overpass.
Weather permitting, the following closures are scheduled to take place from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning:
- On Sept. 18, two of three lanes will be closed on the southbound Peters Creek Parkway bridge over I-40.
- On Sept. 19, two of three lanes will be closed in both directions of I-40 at the bridge over Muddy Creek.
Motorists should use caution while traveling through the work zones and plan accordingly for delays.
