WINSTON-SALEM – The N.C. Department of Transportation plans to temporarily close a Davidson County road next week for a maintenance project.
From Oct. 10-14, Harvey Teague Road will be closed in both directions between Wallburg Road and Georgetown Road to allow crews to replace several crossline pipes prior to the road being resurfaced. Work was previously scheduled for Sept. 26-30, but was delayed due to Hurricane Ian.
Motorists are advised to follow Wallburg Road, N.C. 109 and Georgetown Road as a detour for the duration of the closure.
Travelers in the area are reminded to remain alert and use caution.
