WINSTON-SALEM – N.C. Department of Transportation contractors have scheduled the next set of closures for ongoing maintenance and construction along I-40 in Forsyth County.
Weather permitting, the following closures are scheduled from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning:
- Tonight through Thursday, two of three lanes are scheduled to be closed on I-40 East from the U.S. 421/I-40 interchange to Peters Creek Parkway.
- Tonight, two of three lanes are scheduled to be closed on I-40 West from east of Hanes Mall Boulevard to west of Stratford Road.
- Tonight, the exit loop onto I-40 East from the connector ramp between U.S. 421 North and I-40 West will be closed with a detour.
- Wednesday, two of three lanes are scheduled to be closed on I-40 West from U.S. 52 to Hanes Mall Boulevard.
- Thursday, two of three lanes are scheduled to be closed on I-40 West from Peters Creek Parkway to west of Stratford Road.
Weather permitting, the following closures are scheduled from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning:
- Tonight, one of two lanes are scheduled to be closed on the Exit 238 offramp from U.S. 421 South towards I-40 East.
- Tonight, the onramp from Stratford to I-40 West is scheduled to be closed with a detour.
- Wednesday and Thursday, one of two lanes are scheduled to be closed in both directions on the Stratford Road bridge over I-40.
Motorists should use caution while traveling through the work zones and plan accordingly for delays.
