JONESVILLE - State transportation officials will hold a public meeting this Thursday to receive comments for proposed roundabouts in Jonesville.
The roundabouts are planned to be located at West Main and Elm streets, and Elm and North Bridge streets. The purpose of this project is to provide safer passage for drivers, bicyclists, and pedestrians along the corridor at the Surry-Yadkin county line.
The public meeting will take place from 5-7 p.m. at Jonesville Town Hall, 1503 N.C. 67. NCDOT representatives will be available to answer questions and receive comments.
Comments can also be submitted by Jan. 5, 2023 by phone at 512-580-8850 (project code 9585), through NCDOT’s public input portal, or by mail to Heath Slaughter at 801 Statesville Road in North Wilkesboro.
Comments and information received will be taken into consideration as work on the project develops.
NCDOT will provide auxiliary aids and services under the Americans with Disabilities Act for disabled people who wish to participate in this meeting.
