SALISBURY – N.C. Department of Transportation maintenance crews will close a Rowan County road next week for a pipe replacement, weather permitting.
From Dec. 13-16, Young Road will be closed in both directions near Old Mocksville Road while crews replace the failed drainpipe under the roadway to prevent further damage to the road and adjacent properties.
Traffic will be detoured to Old Mocksville Road and U.S. 601 to return to Young Road.
Motorists are reminded to slow down while adjusting to detours.
