SALISBURY – N.C. Department of Transportation crews will close a Rowan County Road tomorrow, weather permitting.
Stokes Ferry Road will close at 8 a.m. for crews to safely replace a stormwater pipe under the roadway. The work is expected to last two days, reopening Thursday afternoon.
During the closure, a posted detour will take drivers from Stokes Ferry Road to High Rock Road to U.S. 52 to Old Beatty Road then returning onto Stokes Ferry Road.
Drivers are encouraged to stay alert and use caution when nearing the work zone and following the detours.
