Raleigh- Construction is set to begin this week on the new flyover bridge from Interstate 440 East to Wade Avenue West as part of the I-440 and Blue Ridge Road Improvements project.
Starting Tuesday, crews will be adding bridge girders over eastbound Wade Avenue. This will close Wade Avenue East Tuesday - Friday nights reopening each morning at 5 a.m., weather permitting.
Traffic will detour by exiting Wade Avenue East onto I-440 West then back onto to I-440 East then Wade Avenue East.
Drivers are encouraged to slow down and pay attention to our crew in all work zones.
