Long Term Ramp Closure Scheduled for Bridge Replacement

​​THOMASVILLE – An N.C. Department of Transportation contractor will implement a long-term ramp closure on U.S. 29 North/U.S. 70 East in Davidson County for a bridge replacement project.

​Starting Monday April 29, the ramp from U.S. 29 North/U.S. 70 East to Old Thomasville Road will be closed for approximately 12 months.  

Drivers wishing to access Old Thomasville Road will follow the signed detour and exit onto Prospect Street.  Drivers will then use U.S. 29 South/U.S. 70 West to return to Old Thomasville Road.

All construction is expected to be complete in 2026. 

Drivers are advised to use extra caution and plan accordingly for delays due to the construction.
