WILMINGTON - Traffic on several Wilmington roadways will be temporarily impacted overnight a few times next week for work on fiber-optic cables.
Starting at 9 p.m. on May 6 and 7, traffic may be shifted and experience up to 15-miunute stoppages while work takes place at the following intersections:
Carolina Beach Road and Cape Fear Boulevard;
Carolina Beach Road and Stadium Drive;
Carolina Beach Road and Stadium Drive;
Carolina Beach Road and Northern Boulevard;
3rd and Church streets;
4th and Wooster streets;
4th and Dawson streets; and
3rd Street crossing 100 feet south of Dawson Street.
The stoppages will happen no later than 5 a.m. the following days. These traffic changes are necessary for our utility partners.
To avoid any delays, drivers should avoid these streets overnight. If unavoidable, drivers should be patient and cautious of crews working.
