HIGH POINT– An N.C. Department of Transportation contractor will close a road in Guilford County for about three months for a bridge replacement project.
Beginning at 9 a.m. on Jan. 16, Deep River Road will be closed near Hickswood Road to allow crews to construct a new bridge that carries traffic over Deep River. Work is expected to be complete by the end of July.
During the closure a signed
detour will Guide Deep River traffic to Eastchester Drive to Wendover Avenue to Penny Road to Main Street to Jamestown Parkway back onto Deep River Road. Hickswood Road will utilize Williard Drive to
detour around the closure.
Motorists are advised to use extra caution and plan accordingly for delays due to the detour.
