Final FEMA Public Notice for Nor Am Road

​This is to notify the public that the N.C.​​ Department of Transportation has applied for Federal Emergency Management Agency Public Assistance Program funding through the North Carolina Emergency Management as a sub-recipient. 

NCDOT repaired Nor Am Road which was washed out at the approach of the bridge. Minimization of future damages will be accomplished through implementation of best management practices during construction which will be up to NCDOT road standards. The purpose of this work is to restore function to Nor Am Road, which is part of the transportation pattern essential for community travel and emergency services in Wayne County.​

Comments are solicited from the public as well as local, state or federal agencies, and other interested parties in order to consider and evaluate the impacts of the proposed project. The comments should be made in writing and addressed to:​
