Proposal for Bridge Replacement over Banks Channel & Lees Cut on U.S. 76 & U.S. 74 - New Hanover County

The N.C. Department of Transportation proposes to replace the bridge on U.S. 76 (Causeway Drive) and the bridges on U.S. 74 (West Salisbury Street) in New Hanover County. The purpose of the project proposal is to replace the aging structures to improve connectivity and provide a long-term, safe, and efficient multi-modal crossing of Banks Channel and Lees Cut.

The purpose of this meeting is to inform the public of the proposed project and gather input on the proposed design. The public can view project information, submit comments and receive email updates at NCDOT's ​public input portal​​​​​​​​​​​​​​.​​​​​

Public Comment

NCDOT representatives will be available to answer questions and receive comments. The comments and information received will be taken into consideration as work on the project develops.
