The N.C. Department of Transportation proposes to improve the rail and roadway in the Helms Road, Tory Path Road, and N.C. 75 (Waxhaw Highway) area in Union County, N.C. and Lancaster County, S.C. The selected alternative, Alternative 1, Option 1 has been modified to reduce environmental impacts. Design for the currently unfunded portion will be addressed when the project gets funded in the future.
The public is invited to view the modified map of the project alternative that has been selected for the funded portion.
Due to COVID-19, NCDOT will not host an in-person public meeting for the project. The department has developed a
public input website to provide the following:
- An overview of the project
- Project maps
- Project graphics
Public Comment
The public can view the project materials and leave comments by accessing the public input website. There is no comment period.
