The N.C. Department of Transportation has begun studies on widening N.C. 49 from John Kirk Drive to I-485, realigning Back Creek Church Road, and closing the existing Back Creek Church Road at-grade crossing of the North Carolina Railroad.

The purpose of this meeting is to inform the public of the project.
The public may attend at any time during the public meeting hours, as no formal presentation will be made.
Public Comment
NCDOT representatives will be available to answer questions and receive comments. The comments and information received will be taken into consideration as work on the project develops.
