The N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles offers appointments at driver license offices. Appointments can be made up to seven days in advance, with new ones released each weekday, unless the seventh day falls on a state holiday. Appointments are not available at license plate agencies.
Driver license offices also accept walk-ins all day, from open to close (or until the location reaches capacity). You do not need to wait until noon to be seen.
