NCDMV Services in Response to COVID-19
Some Expiration Dates Extended
Extended expiration dates for most NCDMV credentials, including vehicle registrations and Class C driver licenses, expired July 31, 2020. However, Gov. Cooper has extended expiration dates for five other DMV credentials until 30 days after the emergency order for COVID-19 is lifted.

For the health safety of our customers and employees during the COVID-19 pandemic, some N.C. Department of Motor Vehicles driver license offices closed Wednesday, March 18. Before visiting an office, please check to see if it is open using the map below.
