MEBANE – N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews will close the westbound on-ramp for Interstate 40/85 for N.C. 119 for paving work along the N.C. 119 Mebane Relocation Project in Alamance County.
Crews will close the on-ramp from 8 p.m. on Friday, June 8, until 6 a.m. Monday, June 11, weather permitting.
Motorists traveling northbound through the area will be detoured along Holmes Road, 3rd Street Extension, Gibson Road and Trollingwood Hawfields Road. Drivers traveling southbound will use Trollingwood Hawfields Road only to detour.
Transportation officials advise drivers to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
