WINSTON-SALEM – (One night
closure) N.C. Department of Transportation contractors must detour all
traffic utilizing U.S. 52 north and south while contractors set bridge girders for the new N.C. 65
bridge near Rural Hall in Forsyth County.
All traffic
will be detoured along Bethania-Rural Hall (Exit 118) starting at 9 p.m. tonight
until 6 a.m. Saturday, June 9.
“Girders weigh
thousands of pounds so for the safety of workers and drivers we are detouring
all traffic overnight,” said Division 9 Assistant Resident Engineer Nicholas
Librandi.
Law enforcement officers and flaggers will be
stationed to help direct traffic during the closure.
