SALISBURY – N.C. Department of
Transportation crews will close a portion of Old Mocksville Road next week while
workers install a new storm drain pipe under the roadway just north of Salisbury
in Rowan County.
Crews will close the roadway between
the 7th Street Extension and East Ridge Road starting at 8 a.m. on Monday, July
9, and reopen it by 5 p.m. on Friday, July 13, weather permitting.
Motorists traveling through the area will use the 7th
Street Extension, Garrick Road and East Ridge Road to detour around the work in both directions.
Transportation officials advise drivers to watch signs for
construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
