LEWISVILLE – N.C. Department of Transportation contractors must detour all traffic utilizing U.S. 421 Southbound at Peacehaven Road, for two nights next week while contractors set bridge girders near Lewisville in Forsyth County.
“The closures are needed so workers can safely install 10 girders between mile markers 239 and 241,” said NCDOT Assistant Resident Engineer Nicholas Librandi.
All traffic will be detoured through the intersection at the southbound ramps while work takes place from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. on Tuesday, July 10 and Wednesday, July 11.
Transportation officials advise drivers to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
