New Mecklenburg County Roundabout Will Require Temporary Road Closure

MINT HILL – The N.C. Department of Transportation has awarded a $1.6 million contract to build a roundabout at the intersection of Lawyers Road and Bain School Road in Mint Hill.  All American Contracting, LLC of Monroe is the lead contractor on the project.

In preparation to build the roundabout, the contractor needs to lay pipe under the roadway, requiring the closure of Lawyers Road between Bain School Road and Thompson Road. The closure will be in place from 8 a.m. Saturday, July 14, until 6 a.m. Monday, July 16.

During the closure, motorists will be detoured along Bain School road, Fairview Road and Matthews-Mint Hill Road, returning to Lawyers Road.
