Work Starts Wednesday for Pipe Replacement on Panther Creek Road in Rowan County

ROCKWELL – Department of Transportation maintenance crews will replace a deteriorating culvert along Panther Creek Road starting tomorrow just east of Rockwell in Rowan County.

Work will take place starting Wednesday, July 11, at 7 a.m. The road will reopen by 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 10, weather permitting.

Drivers can detour around the closure using Stokes Ferry Road and Ribelin Road.

The department encourages motorists to pay attention when approaching the work zone, obey the posted speed limit, and allow extra time to reach their destinations safely.
