MEBANE – N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews will close lanes along a portion of I-40 between mile markers 150 and 157 for bridge, barrier wall and guardrail installation work in Alamance County.
Work will require various lane closures nightly between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. starting Monday, July 16. Work is scheduled to be complete by Sunday, July 22, weather permitting.
“This work is taking place as part of the N.C. 119 Mebane Relocation Project, and while crews are working alongside traffic we urge travelers to use extreme caution when traveling through this area,” said Division Engineer Mike Mills.
