Road to be reopen by Tuesday evening
WILMINGTON – A portion of Sanders Road in New Hanover County will be closed beginning Monday, Aug. 6, to allow N.C. Department of Transportation crews to repair a roadway depression in front of Heywood Bellamy Elementary School.
The road closure will start at 8 a.m. and last until 5 p.m. Tuesday. Traffic will be detoured onto U.S. 421/Carolina Beach Road, Cathay Road, River Road and Sanders Road.
Drivers should use caution and obey the speed limit on the detour route.
