THOMASVILLE – N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews will close the Lake Road exit on and off ramps to I-85 southbound for two nights this week for pavement rehabilitation work in order to repair small cracks in the concrete slabs in Thomasville.
Crews will close the ramp on Wednesday and Thursday nights Aug. 8 and Aug. 9, between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., weather permitting.
Drivers will be able to detour using U.S. 64.
Transportation officials advise drivers to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
