Ramps to be closed each night starting this weekend
WILMINGTON – Drivers using the entrance and exit ramps at the intersection of College Road and Market Street in Wilmington should be aware of closures beginning Sunday, Aug. 12.
The closures are needed so crews can repave all the ramps at this intersection. That will improve the safety of the ramps and make the ride considerably smoother for drivers.
The closures for both southbound ramps will start at 8 p.m. Sunday and continue until 6 a.m., Monday, Aug. 13.
The closures for both northbound ramps will start at 8 p.m. Monday and continue until 6 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 14.
Crews will not be working outside the allotted time of 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Detour signs will change for each individual closure.
Transportation officials urge travelers to follow the message boards and use caution on the detour routes during the closures.
