Bridge Maintenance Requires Lane Closures on U.S. 117 South in Pender County

One lane will remain open to traffic at all times

ROCKY POINT – Drivers heading south on U.S. 117 in Rocky Point should expect to encounter lane closures beginning Aug. 15.

The closures are needed so a N.C. Department of Transportation contractor can safely repair a section of guardrail that was recently damaged.

The closures will be in place from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 15. One lane will remain open in each direction at all times.
Motorists are urged to slow down and drive carefully through the work zone and to expect possible delays.
