Public Meeting Scheduled for Intersection Upgrades in Durham

DURHAM – The N.C. Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting this week regarding the proposed project to widen North Roxboro Road and add dedicated right turn lanes on Latta Road and Infinity Road. The project also proposes to add sidewalks on the north and south sides of both Latta Road and Infinity Road from the intersection at North Roxboro Road.

The project rose through the State Transportation Improvements Program based on a need for intersection improvements on North Roxboro Road at Latta Road and Infinity Road to accommodate traffic concerns and address safety issues.

Maps of the proposed designs of the improvements can be found here.

The meeting will take place on Thursday, August 23, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mount Sylvan United Methodist Church, 5731 North Roxboro Road in Durham. Interested residents may attend at any time during the meeting hours, as no formal presentation will be made.

NCDOT representatives will be available to answer questions and listen to comments regarding the project. Comments may also be submitted via email or phone by September 6. Comments received will be taken into consideration as the project develops.
