Closures needed for Monroe Expressway construction
CHARLOTTE – On Saturday, Aug. 25, intermittent lane closures will be in place on U.S. 74 in both directions between I-485 and Stallings Road as work continues on the Monroe Expressway project.
Starting at 7 a.m., one lane will be closed intermittently in each direction through 6 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 26 in preparation for a traffic shift that will result in a new traffic pattern for U.S. 74 East.
Transportation officials encourage motorists to remain alert in the work zone, use caution and drive the posted speed limit.
