THOMASVILLE – N.C. Department of Transportation maintenance crews will close a portion of Midway School Road near N.C. 109, that crosses a tributary of Rick Fork Creek, while crews replace a deteriorating pipe underneath the roadway in Davidson County.
The road will close at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Sep. 4, and will reopen by 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 5, weather permitting.
Drivers will be able to detour in both directions utilizing Old Greensboro Road, and N.C. 109.
Transportation officials advise drivers to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
