CHARLOTTE – Beginning Thursday, Feb. 1, a section of Myers Mill Road in Union Grove will close between N.C. 901 and Prospect Road so crews can safely replace the existing bridge.
Contractor Apple Tuck & Associates, Inc. of Rutherfordton was recently awarded the $1 million project.
While the bridge is closed, motorists should follow the detour posted along N.C. 901, N.C. 115 and Prospect Road. Access to residences will be maintained.
The project should be completed by Sept. 1.
