LEXINGTON – N.C. Department of
Transportation contractors must close portion of U.S. 29/70/Business 85 for
bridge girder work on N.C. 8 (Winston Road) in Lexington.
During the work, U.S. 29/70/Business 85 at N.C. 8 will be closed in
both directions nightly from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. from Monday, March 12 through
Friday, March 16, with work wrapping up that Saturday morning.
Northbound and Southbound traffic will use N.C. 8 (Winston Road) exit ramps to
detour around the work in opposite directions.
NCDOT officials remind motorists to watch signs for construction
information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
