CORRECTED: Resurfacing will require Ramp Closure on I-40

(Editor's Note: The previous version of this press release had work scheduled to begin Monday, June 4. The schedule has been amended for work to begin Tuesday, June 5.)

STATESVILLE – The N.C. Department of Transportation will temporarily close the entrance ramp from Old Mocksville Highway to I-40 West next week for resurfacing work, weather permitting.

The work was to be completed last week, but inclement weather cancelled the closure.

Crews will close the ramp at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, and should open by 6 a.m. Thursday, June 7.

To get around the closure, motorists traveling on Mocksville Highway should turn right on U.S. 64 West, cross over I-77, then turn right on Sullivan Road to access I-40 West.
