Lane Closure in Place on U.S. 74 Tomorrow

CHARLOTTE – Crews working on the Monroe Expressway project will temporarily close the right lane on U.S. 74 East at Stallings Road at 9 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, weather permitting. 

The closure will allow crews to put down asphalt at an acceptable temperature in advance of shifting traffic to new pavement on Stallings Road at a later date. The closure will be in place until 1 p.m.

 Motorists can avoid delays by taking the I-485 Inner Loop to John Street (exit 52) or the Outer Loop to Idlewild Road (Exit 49) back to Stallings Road.
