LOCUST – The N.C. Department of Transportation will close one lane on N.C. 24/27 West over Rocky River near Locust, starting Monday, June 4, weather permitting.
Bridge maintenance crews will close the left westbound lane to set up a crane that will remove debris in the river that has accumulated against the structure. The lane closure will be in place from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day through Friday, June 8.
If bad weather interrupts the work schedule, the lane closure may be extended.
Transportation officials remind motorists to drive safely, obey all posted speed limits and work-zone postings.
