CHARLOTTE – The N.C. Department of Transportation and contractor Lane Construction have scheduled maintenance work on bridges over Independence Boulevard this weekend, weather permitting.
Crews will close the Conference Drive bridge from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 17. Motorists can use Idlewild Road around the closures.
On Sunday, March 18, crews will close the Idlewild Road bridge from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists can get around the closure using Conference Drive.
Access to driveways and entrances will be maintained during the closures.
Transportation officials remind motorists to drive safely, obey all posted speed limits and work-zone postings.
