CHARLOTTE – The N.C. Department of Transportation and contractor Lane Construction have scheduled maintenance work on the bridge taking Sharon Amity Road over Independence Boulevard later this week, weather permitting.
The work will take place one direction at a time, with one lane open to traffic. Crews will flag traffic on the bridge from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Thursday, March 22, to Sunday, March 25.
Transportation officials remind motorists to drive safely, obey all posted speed limits and work-zone postings.
