SALISBURY— N.C. Department of Transportation
maintenance crews have closed a section of Potneck Road in Rowan County while
they replace a worn pipe underneath the roadway.
The
portion of roadway closed at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 22. It is expected to
re-open by 3:30 p.m. on Friday, May 25.
Local traffic
will be able to access homes from either end of Potneck Road, but will not be
able to pass beyond the closure points on either side of the work area.
Motorists traveling through the area will use Highway
601, Gheen Road, Jones Road, Woodleaf Road and Wetmore Road as the signed detour route.
NCDOT reminds
motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the
posted speed limit.
