ROXBORO – A short section of Mill Creek Road about six miles
northeast of Roxboro in Person County was closed over the weekend due to high
water damaging the culvert under the road.
Engineers expect to have a timeline for the closure once damage assessments
have been completed and repairs outlined.
A detour route is posted and motorists may utilize sections of Mill Creek
Road, Streets Store Road, and N.C. 49 to navigate the damaged portion of
roadway.
