MEBANE – N.C. Department of Transportation maintenance crews will close
a small portion of N.C. 119 near Holmes Road in Alamance County next week for new storm drain installations as part of the
N.C. 119 Mebane Relocation Project.
Crews will close the road nightly from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m. on Monday, March 19 until Friday, March 23, weather permitting.
Motorists traveling through the area will be detoured along Holmes Road, South 3rd Street Extension and Foust Road in both
north and
southbound directions.
Transportation officials advise drivers to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
