WAXHAW – The N.C. Department of Transportation will close a
section of McWhorter Road south of Waxhaw on Monday, May 21, to replace the
culvert over Waxhaw Creek.
The closure is expected to be in place until mid-October. A detour will be
posted for motorists along Lancaster Highway and Potter Road back to McWhorter
Road.
