REIDSVILLE – N.C. Department of Transportation contractors must close the Witty Road bridge between Scalesville Road and U.S. 158, while they replace the aging structure between Summerfield and Reidsville at the Guilford/Rockingham County line.
The roadway will be closed starting at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, May 9. Work is expected to be complete and the road reopened by late October.
Drivers will use U.S. 158, Lake Brandt Road and Scalesville Road to detour around the closure.
Motorists should watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
